Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation Offers
Support for Community and Academic Partnerships
to Improve Community Health

Deadline: September 1, 2001

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation, the
philanthropic affiliate of Blue Cross Blue Shield of
Michigan, invites joint proposals from Michigan nonprofit
community organizations and academic research
institutions. Together, these partners would design,
implement, and evaluate an intervention to eliminate or
improve a community health problem.

Both partners must be Michigan-based and 501(c)(3) non-
profit organizations. The BCBSM Foundation encourages
partners to include the concerns and opinions of consumers
in all aspects of the project. The partnership may apply
for up to $150,000, to be shared by the partners. Grants
are made for a period of at least a year.
