DEPARTMENT: Health Promotion and Human Movement


APPOINTMENT: August 15, 2002


DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teaching
undergraduate courses in Health Education with a primary focus on
professional theory courses for Health Education Majors. Advisement of
students in Health and Physical Education and a strong interest in School
and/or Community Health Education, as well as the ability to teach service
classes in Health Education topic areas (such as Personal Health and
Development and Evaluation of Health Programs) for the College. Serve on
department, school and college committees and initiate community
involvement. Demonstrate scholarship and interest through publications,
presentations, and attendance at professional meetings. This is a
tenure-track appointment. Information about the department's programs can

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in Health Education with a strong background in
Community and/or School Health Education. College teaching and public
school teaching experience desirable. CHES or CHES eligible preferred.
