The IEJHE is started it's fourth volume on January 1, 2001. Effective
immediately, the IEJHE will have an 'open' volume...meaning that once a
manuscript is accepted and all revisions are made, it will be immediately
posted to the journal. This will provide incredibly quick dissemination of
health education information.
The fourth volume has started with a special feature on Health and
Germany. In addition, three regular articles have also been included. The
IEJHE has a nominal subscription fee, and this fee includes access to all
back issues as well as the current articles.
For a limited time, I have arranged for members of the HEDIR and the
American Academy to have access to this journal. To access, you must use
the following:
login: hedir
password: 2001
Please feel free to browse the journal, and please consider the IEJHE has
an outlet for your research publications.
Thanks.

Pardon the cross posting.
Info you can use:
>From another list server (NRSINGED@LISTSERV.LOUISVILLE.EDU):
Response to: "where can I find clip art?"
------------------------------------------
Terry, if you are using Office 2000, when you go to "insert clipart",
you can
choose "clipart online" and download free clipart, movies, and sound
from
Microsoft. Doing a search will help you find other sites. A few I've
used are:
http://geocities.com/HotSprings/2497/
http://www.gewis.win.tue.nl/general/clipart/index.htm
http://mailorderfoods.com/software/graphics/CLIPART/MEDICAL/
http://www.arttoday.com
There are also some good, inexpensive CD's out there with a lot of
photos
and graphics on them.
Good luck!

ACHA's The Secret Epidemic: STIs on Campus slide set is now available on the
ACHA website for your use. The set is an educational tool that can be used
as a building block in a comprehensive health education program about
sexually transmitted diseases and their consequences.
This set can be used by anyone: health educators, clinicians, peer
educators, and other students. The contents include general information
about infections, risks, prevention, testing, and the most prevalent STIs.
To view the slide set, visit www.acha.org/sti/stiintro.htm. You can download
the set in PowerPoint or pdf formats, or you can view the slides online.
The set was developed by ACHA's Task Force on HPV and Other STDs. Production
of the set and its availability online is made possible by an unrestricted
grant from 3M Pharmaceuticals.
Please note: The presentation slides are graphic and are provided solely for
educational purposes.

Greetings from West Virginia University.
I am presently developing a web-based undergraduate History and Philosophy of Health
Education course for West Virginia University. I need assistance.
Do you have a model syllabus that you might share? What might you recommend for a text
book and supplemental materials? I would not use anything without your expressed
permission, and I am most willing to attribute ownership to you (or whomever developed the
materials) for anything you have that you would permit me to use.
When I taught History and Philosophy of Health Education as a stand up course, I used
Cottrell, Girvan, and McKenzie's Principles and Foundations of Health Promotion and
Education (Allyn and Bacon, 1999, Boston).
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is the Knowledge Transfer Center. Assessment tools, training courses,
manuals, and other materials developed by industry for the US Dept of Energy
with tax payer dollars are available at no cost for download. There are two
grant writing courses and the GrantSAT - Grant Proposal Self-Assessment
Tool. I've not seen the courses, but the SAT is an excellent scored
diganotsic tool for evaluating and improving proposals prior to submission.
Great for a class and sure to improve any sort of proposal. good luck. SS
