Can anyone recommend an education program to reduce the risk of lead
exposure in youth? It can be school or community based. I'd like to know
what the program is, if it has been formally evaluated, the audience for
whom it's intended, and a contact person. Thanks.

I need a "generic" ADA statement that I can place on my Lifetime Wellness=
syllabus? Thanks in advance.

If you are planning to submit a proposal to
present at the American School Health Association's annual conference
and if you want it sponsored by the Health Educator's section (or by a council),
you need to submit it first to the chair of the section (Parris Watts) or the
relevant Council (the names of chairs is on our web site www.ashaweb.org,
under membership, then councils). Sponsorship is a recommendation
by the section or council and it carries added weight during considerations,
but it does not guarantee acceptance and does not imply financial support.

Importance: High

CDC's National Center for Health Statistics recently released the Health,
United States, 2000 Adolescent Health Chartbook. The Adolescent Health
Chartbook includes 32 figures and text on the health of adolescents under
the following topics: population demographics, health status, reproductive
health, risk behavior, and access to health care.

If you would like to receive a copy of the Adolescent Health Chartbook,
please send an email request to Andrea MacKay at CDC [anm3@cdc.gov]. Also
please indicate if you would like additional copies of the Chartbook for
colleagues, staff, or as a resource for students. There is no charge for
the Chartbook.

And finally, please share this email with others you know who have an
interest in adolescent health. Thank you for your help in disseminating
this information!
