The Lawton and Rhea Chiles Center for Healthy Mothers and Babies,
University of South Florida, Health Sciences Center, seeks applications
from qualified candidates for two non-tenure earning positions of Research
Associate.


Each Research Associate is responsible for day-to-day implementation of the
evaluation plan for the Central Hillsborough Healthy Start Program and the
Friendly Access Program, respectively. The positions are highly responsible
requiring sound judgment, initiative, and multiple skills.


Minimum Qualifications: Academic preparation: Master's degree or higher
degree in a social science or health-related field; knowledge of maternal
and child health programs and policies; formal training in applied research
methodology and multivariate quantitative data analysis; experience with
primary data collection; excellent written skills; experience working with
complex organizational structures; and experience with the following
applications: Microsoft Word 2000, Microsoft Excel 2000, Microsoft
Powerpoint 2000, Microsoft Access 2000, and SAS 8.0 or more recent version.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in evaluation research; formal
training in qualitative research methodologies; excellent oral skills;
experience with the following applications: Microsoft Project 2000,
Endnotes 4.0, Ethnograph 5.0 or Nudist 4.0; and experience working with
culturally diverse populations.


Salary: Negotiable
