Health Education Faculty, United Arab Emirates

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is a system of 11 colleges in 6
centers in the United Arab Emirates - one of the most progressive and
modern countries in the Middle East. Programs at the HCT prepare the young
men and women of the UAE for challenging positions requiring technical
expertise in a rapidly evolving society. Students are prepared for their
role in the global economy through extensive preparation in oral and
written English and a "hands on" approach to learning. The Sharjah Women's
College currently has over 1500 students and offers career programs through
a unique combination of theory, practical training and on the job
experience. Class sizes are small and a high level of computer technology
is available to all staff and students. The Sharjah Women's College is
introducing a Bachelor of Science in Health Education, which will commence
in September, 2002. This new and exciting program will produce health
education professionals who design, conduct and evaluate activities that
help improve health.
