Greetings HEDIR Land:
I am the current VP for the Health Division for ASAHPERD (Alabama State
Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance). Part
of my responsibility as VP is to solicit professionals from across the
state (and region) to submit possible programs for the state conference.
Our Fall Conference is in Birmingham, AL at the Winfrey Hotel connected
to the Galleria Mall on November 17-19, 2002, while or Spring Conference
is on the Gulf Coast in Orange Beach, AL during April of each year.
I am responsible for getting 12-15 health related programs in the areas
of K-12, higher education, and public health. The areas are broad based
areas and need to relate to the health education, health promotion,
health care, health services, etc. in some way.
Those interested in presenting a health program can send their completed
form(s) (the program proposal form is attached to this email) to me at
the address below. Feel free to forward the attached program proposal
to colleagues and others who may be interested in presenting at the
ASAHPERD Fall Conference in Birmingham, AL.

Hi Allison,
If you haven't already, you may want to go to:
http://www.hpcareer.net/cf/jobs/register.cfm to register. When registering
be sure to select the region of New Jersey where you're located. That way,
when we receive job opportunities meeting your criteria, you'll receive
them immediately, via email. There is no cost for students and
professionals to use our service. Employers pay a flat fee to advertise
directly to interested and qualified candidates exclusively in health
promotion.
Also check out NYU's HEPR web site: http://www.nyu.edu/education/hepr/ They
do a super job of scouring the web for jobs in health education.
In the meantime, network-network-network like crazy...! with former
professors and anyone you know currently working in the field.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have questions or if there
is anything I can do to assist you.
Good luck,
Michaela Conley
