Happy Friday!

I was hoping someone might have a few tips to share with me. I have been asked to present to a local Chapter of the Missouri Council of the Blind. There are 30 participants. Apparently last months speaker (a physician) brought a slide show (?!?). My question is: have you ever worked with this population? What is the best way to provide information? I did ask the person requesting the presentation if she had any tips and she said that some folks can read some large print materials (and they also have people who can read the literature for them) there. The presentation they have requested is about the need for a health department in our county (hot topic right now).

Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

I am moving to Mobile, AL this coming up week and I have been looking for
employment in the health education/promotion field. I will be graduating with
my Masters in Health Edu./Promotion in Dec. 2002 and I am looking for a job
in this career field in Mobile, but unfortunately I have been unsuccessful.
Does anyone have any search ideas for me?

Thanks,

I'm an editor with ETR Associates. We develop and produce health education materials for many markets, including the college market. I'm working on a pamphlet series that will answer questions students might wonder about a given topic but have never found the answer to. What I need are the questions. The topics are drinking, violence, drugs and food/weight.

Do you work with college students? Would you be willing to take a poll among your students: "What 2 questions do you have about [choose 1 topic] that no one has ever answered to your satisfaction?" Or something along those lines.

I'm aware school is out and you perhaps might not have access to your students until the Fall. If you'd be willing to participate in the project, please let me know, and tell me what date your students will be returning.

Thanks for any help.
