Dear HEDIR
The Am J Health Behav manuscript submission process is now totally
electronic. Listed below is a Q&A regarding the submission process,
please save it for later.

Manuscript Submission
Questions and Answers

Are both the manuscript submission and review process conducted
electronically?
Yes, every new submission and review is conducted online; we no longer
accept hard copy submissions.

What was the reason for moving to an electronic format?
Despite averaging 30.1 days for reviewing manuscripts, the new
electronic submission process will further reduce our turn-around time
with authors and reviewers.

Where do I secure the new manuscript submission guidelines?
Go to the journal web site at www.ajhb.org and tap into the "Author
Submission" link. Two links appear; before submitting a manuscript, I
suggest you print out the "Author Guidelines" and follow guidelines.

How do I submit a manuscript?
Again go to the journal web site at "Author Submission" link then use
the "Submit a Manuscript" link. If you are submitting for the first
time click the "First Time Author" link or if you have previously
submitted click the "Submit a Manuscript" link. Your e-mail will become
your user ID and the password you select will always be your author
password. Then follow instructions.

Where am I most likely to make an error?
1. Entering an improper password
2. Forgetting password
3. Leaving authors on your manuscript. If this happens your manuscript
is sent out for review with the author(s) name(s). The author and
corresponding information should be entered on the information queries
page, not on the submission copy.
4. Do not submit manuscript in any word processing format other than
Microsoft Word.

Must manuscripts be submitted in only a Microsoft Word format?
Yes, all others will not be reviewed.

Once I submit a manuscript can I tract it?
Yes, click the "Authors: Submit and Track Changes" link and use your
user ID and password.

Do I use the same password if I am also a reviewer for the journal that
I use when I submit a manuscript as an author?
No, you have different passwords. To submit a manuscript you tap into
the "Author Submissions" link and to review you tap into the "Journal
Reviewers" link.
