Subject: Fwd: Help Us Build a "Wall of Pain" that focuses on health care
injustices
Dear Colleagues:
The Health and Wellness Program, Justice and Witness Ministries, National
Offices, The United Church of Christ is collaboratng with Congressman John
Conyers' office and other denominations, faith-based and grassroots
organizations to build a "Wall of Pain."
The "Wall of Pain" will be a compilation of stories, pictures, poems, news
articles, etc. that reflect the pain, suffering and hardship that people have
experienced/endured because of inequities in the U. S.
Health Care system. The stories will be used to construct a wall display that
will be a visual tool to educate and inform law-makers that there is a real
health care crisis in this country. A crisis that needs real, workable
solutions! And, most importantly, a crisis that the faith community will not let
law-makers ignore!
Please assist us in getting this word out to friends, relatives, members of your
church and organizations that you are affiliated with and ask them to log onto
http://www.ucc.org/wallofpain/<http://www.ucc.org/wallofpain/>
and send their stories today!
They can also go to the UCC's main page and be directed to this link:

Hi all,
does anyone know of anything in California that would assist a working person
who makes too much to qualify for Medicare but is to poor to get adequite
medical treatment for her asthma? She is a friend without medical coverage or
sick leave and cannot afford to get well. Her trips to the free clinic are so
much time and trouble that she is getting almost no relief and though she has
been given medicine, she is not getting well and cannot afford to take time off
of work to rest and recover.
thanks for ANY suggestions,
Robin Gray Ballard
