Does anyone know of an evidence-based peer education program or curriculum?
Any assistance or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am looking for recommendations for the best text or edited book dealing with
design and methodology considerations when surveying children, particularly with
reference to health related behaviors and attitudes.

Hello,
Would you mind forwarding any responses you get to ammaryn@mail.nih.gov?
I work at the National Cancer Insitute and am in the beginning phases of
developing materials for pediatric cancer patients. I'd be interested to find
out what people suggest.
Many thanks,

Wynn,
The first question I would ask is peer education for what outcome?
There are many peer models, often sliced by outcomes. For real quick examples
not a recommended list:
Pregnancy prevention?
http://www.etr.org/recapp/theories/peereducation/index.htm
ATOD?: http://www.ocde.k12.ca.us/pal/
Violence Prevention: http://www.youthalive.org/
I would suggest you start at the resources at the NATIONAL PEER HELPERS
ASSOCIATION: http://www.peerhelping.org And also check out the peer resources
site at: http://www.peer.ca/peer.html
Good luck
