New from the Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS)

Flu Shots at School

A few weeks ago an editorial writer for the DesMoines Register called the Center to find out whether kids could get flu shots at school. With newspapers filled with stories about avian flu, the reason for the question was clear: Were schools prepared to administer Tamiflu to students and faculty if avian flu became a major threat in the U.S.?

Through the Center's listserv, we asked our colleagues in the field whether they knew of school-based flu shot programs. We received 40 responses. Click on the link below to find out what we learned.
