Hello and Happy Holidays in Hedir-land.
More specifically, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy New
Year, (did I miss any?)
I am looking for someone who can direct me to a CDC or other resource regarding
immunization issues- Specifically, I need professional and up-to-date
information about the transmission of infectious disease from children (more
specifically un-immunized children) to adults (more specifically, the risks to
unborn babies of pregnant women). I need a serious vaccine expert, not general
info. Anybody out there who can help? Thanks!! Lisa

Lisa,
Of course you will be able to line up many "experts"
giving you the official scary statistics about the evils of unimmunized
children, however, in your pursuit, please consider contacting experts from the
"anti" vaccination folks. After all, we saw yet again this week, politicians
trying to extend immunity from from lawsuits to drug companies who manufacture
vaccines. This time, it was done in the name of national defense. (can anyone
say VIOXX).
A good source to point you to credible experts would be the journalists at
mothering magazine who have been reporting on this issue for years.
