Subject: Comp Taking Sides
Dear Colleagues,
I recently announced the availability of comp copies of my forthcoming = book,
Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Controversial Issues in Human = Sexuality. Some
colleagues on this list told me that navigating the = dushkin/mcgraw-hill
website was very difficult to get a comp copy the = book, especially for non
professors.
I reported this to the publisher, and they told me that non-professors = could
get a comp copy by making their request at Dushkin_Marketing = @mcgraw-hill.com
.
Please note that usually publishers restrict comp copies to university =
professors in the hopes that they will adopt the book, and their = students will
buy it. If you are not a university professor, but would = still like a copy of
the book, we would greatly appreciate doing = whatever you can to promote the
book (i.e. displaying it on a resource = table at a conference, telling others
about it, or otherwise talking it = up a little.)
Thanks,
Bill
