Dear HEDIR Colleagues,

I thought some of you might like to know about this call for nominations = for a book award. It's put out by the Foundation for the Scientific = Study of Sexuality (FSSS), and they are looking for nominations for the = most distinguished book in sexology.

The Bonnie and Vern L. Bullough Book Award: Call for Nominations

The Bonnie and Vern L. Bullough Award is given annually by the = Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (FSSS) for the most = distinguished book written for the professional sexological community = published during the previous year. A prize of $500 and a plaque are = given to the recipient. The book must be an original work, that is, not = a new edition or an anthology from multiple authors. Its primary = audience must be professionals working in the field of sexology, from = any disciplinary perspective.

To submit nominations, the author(s) or their publisher, or any = individual acting with the author=E2=80=99s consent must submit one copy = of the work, accompanied by a cover letter indicating that the book is = being submitted for consideration for the award. An administrative = nonrefundable fee of $20 must be enclosed for each book nominated, check = payable to FSSS.

The deadline for submitting nominations for books published in 2004 is = May 1, 2005, and announcement/presentation of the award will be made at=20 the meeting of the World Association of Sexology, July 10-15, 2005, = Montreal.

The deadline for submitting nominations for books published in 2005 is = January 31, 2006. The winner will be announced in July 2006, and = presentation made at the Annual Meeting of SSSS, in November 2006.
