Colleagues,
I am trying to find data that would support/negate a change in policy regarding
the time (following a dry orientation) at which a campus becomes wet. Is it
advantageous to set a specific time when upperclassman are allowed to enjoy an
alcoholic beverage within their private residences or is it futile? For example,
if one policy states that students can "begin" drinking at noon on Saturday and
another states that they can "begin" at 7pm, which one is better?
Will waiting until later in the day increase the amount of binge drinking? Any
insight into this issue or direction toward current research would be
appreciated.
