Hearing Updates Research on Juvenile Diabetes:
Type 1 diabetes, which strikes mostly children and adolescents, is the subject of intensive research by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) in the National Institutes of Health, but a cure is still elusive, the director of NIDDK told a congressional hearing June 21.
