Greetings.

The annual HEDIR Technology Seminar is scheduled for the AAHE conference in Baltimore. Please consider submitting any technology-based ideas that you have.

The HEDIR Technology Seminar is intended to provide an opportunity for health educators to demonstrate creative and innovative technological approaches in delivering health education information. The seminar will be approximately 75-120 minutes in length (time yet to be determined).

Individuals who have their abstracts accepted will be asked to provide their presentation on a powerpoint program on a laptop (in which the individual

must provide). The individuals will be stationed throughout the room where

participants can move from computer to computer talking to the individual about their project (consider this an electronic poster session). There is no guarantee that this room will have any type of internet connection.

If your abstract is accepted, you will be expected to provide a laptop to show your presentation. By submitting this abstract you agree, that if accepted, to present at the 2007 HEDIR Technology Seminar (an official program within American Association of Health Education--AAHE) in Baltimore.

Finally, the intent of the HEDIR Technology Seminar is to demonstrate creative and innovative strategies to help other health educators incorporate technology. This is not intended to be used as a venue for promoting commercial products. Whereas it is appropriate to mention a commercial program that one may be using (i.e., Power Point), it is inappropriate to just use this forum to demonstrate such a program. Thus, I may show my technology ideas via a PowerPoint Presentation, however, it is not appropriate to submit an abstract describing PowerPoint as their main feature. If you are uncertain, please feel free to contact Dr. Kittleson.

Deadline for submitting the abstract is September 16, 2006. Authors will

be notified by September 30, 2006.

To submit an abstract, please go to www.hedir.org/technology
