Greetings Colleagues:

=20

There has been a good conversation in recent weeks about the profession unifying and =93speaking with one voice.=94 This is a very timely = discussion because now is the time for all of you who are interested in speaking = with one voice to join the Coalition of National Health Education = Organizations
(CNHEO) in doing just that. The Health Education Advocacy Summit takes place in Washington, DC on March 11-13, 2006. This marks the 9th year = in a row that members and leaders from each of the Coalition=92s 10 = organizations join together to:

* Develop a common advocacy agenda
* Publish fact sheets in support of that advocacy agenda
* Provide both entry level and advanced advocacy training
* Spend a day on Capital Hill talking to legislators from every corner
of the country about our common health education advocacy agenda

=20

Many professionals pay their own way to participate in this important activity. Many even find resources to pay the way of undergraduate and graduate students to participate as well. During the past 8 years of advocacy activity it is safe to say that well over 500 legislative = visits have been made in support of health education and health educators. If = more of you come, this number will increase dramatically.

=20

We urge those of you who want your voice to be heard to join those who = are making their voices heard. Register now at: HYPERLINK "http://www.healtheducationadvocate.org/Summit/"http://www.healtheducatio=
nad
vocate.org/Summit/ Please note that Friday, February 17th is the =
deadline
for hotel reservations for those attending the Summit.

=20

For continuing advocacy activity, make it a point to visit the CNHEO = Health Education Advocate website at:
http//www.healtheducationadvocate.org/index.html

=20

We have learned to speak with one voice --- and we would like you to = join us. The time to act is now! =20
