Greetings.

Nominations for the 2006 HEDIR Award are now being made. The purpose of this award is to recognize a health educator, or a group, who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of health education through technology or who has transformed the profession of health education. Due to a series of complications, there was not an award given in 2005. However this year we are excited to have the award back in place.

Nominations can be made by e-mailing the individual's name, address, affiliation, fax, phone, and e-mail address to Mark Kittleson
(kittle@siu.edu) no later than March 20, 2006. Included within this nomination should be a description on why this person should be given the HEDIR Award. Included within this description can be URLs, specific programs, or other related issues that will support this person's nomination. Nominators will be kept confidential but must provide their name, address, affiliation, fax, phone, and e-mail.

Dr. Mike Olpin, Weber State (UT), Dr. Priya Banerjee, SUNY Brockport, and Dr. Kele Ding, Kent State, will assist in the final selection process.

The recipient(s) will be announced on or around April 15 over the HEDIR listserv. An awards luncheon/meeting is in the planning stages to be held during the American Public Health Association's conference in Boston where the recipient(s) will be given their recognition, along with an opportunity to make a presentation.

Our previous winners have included Dr. Robert Gold (1997), Dr. Billie Lindsey (1998), and Dr. Vic Strecher and Dr. Judy Baker (1999), Dr. Alyson Taub (2000), Dr. James Eddy (2001), Dr. Michael Pejsach (2002) and HPCAREER.net/Michaela Conley (2002), Dr. Don Chaney and Elaine Auld (2003), Dr. Min Qi Wang (2003), Dr. Mark Tomita (2004).

Note that nominees can only be those who are academically trained as a health educator.

Go to www.hedir.org <http://www.hedir.org/> and click the Awards link for more information.

Would anyone be willing to share a copy of an exit survey used to evaluate programmatic issues at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels? For those who ask their students to complete such surveys, are they traditional paper and pencil or online formats? Are they used not only when students graduate but also when they exit with a change in major?

Thank you.
