In mid-June I sent out a passionate plea to help a student I was working with. That request was to ask any student of yours to complete an on-line web survey regarding the use of various social network systems such as MySpace and Facebook. We were only able to collect data for 10 days (June

20-30) and the student and I were hoping that we could get sufficient numbers.

I am pleased, and extremely grateful, that over 150 students completed the survey. Thank you (and please thank your students if possible) for your help. It was a great relief to the student (and to me). The study, by the way, had some very interesting data. She presented it today (this is part of the McNair scholar program that many universities have-it is named after the late astronaut/physicist Ron McNair who died in the Challenger explosion in 1986) and had great responses. I'll be continuing to work with her to try to decide what we will do with the data (i.e., publishing, presenting).

Thanks again.

Hello to you and please excuse the cross-posting.

I am in process of putting together a biofeedback lab/relaxation station here at our school. I have been gathering a few items for this but it occurred to me that some of our fine colleagues around the country may already be involved in the same thing and can pass along any ideas, hints, tips, successes and failures that would be beneficial for me to know as I create this exciting (relaxing actually) lab for our students and faculty.

I'm also interested in knowing about any biofeedback software/equipment anyone has used with success in a biofeedback lab. There are many out there and I'd like to find a few that really work.

If you aren't the right person but perhaps know someone on your campus or in your community that works in this realm, I would greatly appreciate their contact information so that I can glean from their experiences.

I thank you in advance.

All the best to you.

Dear colleagues:

Any suggestions on adolescent health journals or measurement/evaluation journals that you are familiar with? I need a journal that deals with adolescent health issues/ youth empowerment.

Many thanks, Kathleen

Michael and other interested folks,

I had such a lab at Ohio University a few years ago and described it in an article located at: http://www.optimalhealthconcepts.com/WorkStress.html.

I also have some new biofeedback equipment that I purchased from http://www.stens-biofeedback.com/. The Infinity system we bought is from Though Technology http://www.thoughttechnology.com/.

Call sometime if you want to talk about this stuff I have lots of ideas.
