Subject: AAHPERD Graduate Student Leadership Conference
=20
Greetings Colleagues:
=20
AAHPERD will be hosting a graduate student leadership development conference
October 12-15 2006 at our headquarters in Reston, VA. All of the Associations of
AAHPERD will be participating in this conference and we are seeking a diverse
cadre of student participation. Please encourage graduate students you know who
are AAHE and/or AAHPERD members to apply (masters or doctoral students - that
meet full-time status requirements at your institution). The application
information is below my signature line.=20
=20
It is anticipated that the limited space will not accommodate all of the
applicants - so applying does not mean a firm commitment (if for example, the
student is unsure s/he can afford the trip). A firm commitment will need to be
made in September for those who have their applications accepted. At that time
we may have been able to identify some assistance in funding for student travel
(as various state, district and national associations of AAHPERD have indicated
willingness to help fund travel for one or more students). By September, the
student may also find out if their institution will support some or all of the
cost of attending
=20
So - please spread the word! We hope to have many applicants by the June 30
deadline.
Thank you for your assistance.

This sounds like a wonderful conference, Becky. It compliments the Brooklyn July
21-23 "Finding Your Inner Leader" conference for current community and public
health practitioners really nicely. Here's a reminder link for everyone. Please
