Hi all.

Yes, there is very sad new elephant in the room.

An estimated 655 000 more Iraqis have died as a consequence of the March 2003 military invasion of Iraq than would have been expected in a non-conflict situation.

My political commentary:

Have we had enough? National policy is knit together as a result of each local election. November 7th is coming. What are you doing about it?

Dear Colleagues,

I will be teaching for the first time a master level course in

evaluation of health education and promotion programs. Thus, if you

or someone you know teach this course, would you mind sharing the

syllabus with me? I am looking at what other people are covering in

this course and what text book are they using.

Thanks,

I am engaged in a project with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. We are looking at Internet-based weight management tools and approaches. I have funding of $750 to support a graduate student who can help us out with this phase of the project. The grad student would be working with a team of 4 others on my project staff in reviewing available ehealth weight management tools, both commercial and non-commercial, matching against a series of criteria. We would require a report of findings and close working relationship with our staff. project timeframe is over the next 4 weeks. We want to contract with someone ASAP. The grad student must be completely Internet literate and have conducted work/research in Internet behavior change practices, as we have no room for bringing anyone up to speed due to such a short time frame. Projected time element is 50 hours at $15/hour.

Please pass along this request to capable grad students or email me your recommendation.

Thanks

Good question. Since retiring I am offering to teach Death Education-Health

Education to diverse community audiences always including the prevention of

Horrendous Death (e.g., deaths resulting from terrorism and war). My view is

that the topic of HD should be part of every health education/health

promotion syllabus, HS through graduate school
