Subject: [PNWHEALTH] Help! Evaluating middle school programs
Hello Health Educators!
I am looking for a successful evaulation tool to measure attitude, knowledge, and skills regarding healthy relationships in MIDDLE SCHOOL children.
I just started volunteering with the social change program of New Beginnings, an intimate partner violence prevention agency.
For the last year and a half they have been doing a healthy relationships program called Owning Up in several area middle schools. Unfortunately, the current evaluation tool is not working for this situation.
Does anyone have or know of an evaluation, or someone who is researching an evaluation that is designed for middle school students? the program is only
15 weeks long, so rather than behavior change we want to measure changes in attitude, knowledge, and problem solving skills.
Also, does anyone have a lead on recent research on attitudes and behaviors in middle school students that are related to or indicative of future violence perpetration? I miss my student access to those libraries and journals...
