Hi all:

It is hard to believe that we are turning the corner of another year and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone on this list for acting as both flint and steel contributing to my personal and professional development. As I have said privately to a couple of people on this list, I am always grateful that in my career constellation that I have very smart and interesting people that I can call professional colleagues. I also want to wish the best to you at this magical time of midwinter and all of the diverse spiritual traditions and wishes for deeper community and spiritual purpose in the coming New Year.

It is no secret on this list that I am not one to hide my opinions and feel compelled to send this note because in the next few weeks, we could determine the democratic presidential nominee for the Fall 08 election. I can honestly say that I have never before paid attention to primary politics. After all, I live in Oregon, a blue state, too late in the primary season to make a difference but this year is election cycle is different. The stakes are high, really high. I am convinced that this election can significantly determine what kind of future we leave for our children, or, at a personal level, for my children. So I am paying attention, earlier than ever before. And I am asking each of you still reading and who has a vote in a primary election or caucus to consider joining me in supporting John Edwards by clicking on my personal fundraising page below and reading a little more of my thoughts about why I support John Edwards:
