Since students need to take 12 credits to be considered full time and our degree requirement is minimum of 9 credits of internship, it is not unusual for students to take another course or two with internship.

Yes, we allow our students to work part time at other jobs while interning. Some agencies are able to pay an hourly wage or stipend to interns and that means interns don't have to work at other places.

With the cost of tuition, etc., most of our students are working part time throughout their years at UMD.
