An answer for Cheryl Dye about health coaches, I unsucessfully applied for

an NIH grant proposing to utilize MPH health education students as health

coaches for a worksite type 2 diabetes program through telephone counseling,

modeled after the tobacco quit lines.  I would like to continue searching

for a funding source for this idea.  I think health educators should provide

credability to this arrangement, as long as we are not influencing medical

decisions or trying to practice outside our field.
