CJHP Update
I wanted to let you know that there is a delay in publishing the Californian Journal of Health Promotion summer issue. We should be getting the summer and September issue online by next week.
Also, if you've sent me e-mail within the last three days, including today, please resend your e-mail.
Request for Book Reviewers (Request Deadline: September 6, 2007)
Students in my computer applications in health education course and I are planning to publish a book on poems in health promotion. The students will be choosing any poem format (http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/types.html).
We hope to publish the book this semester. The students are learning computer and other skills necessary to publish books in health promotion. They are applying computer skills they learn to develop and market a product.
I need peer-reviewers for the publication. The theme is sustainable development, and the poem topics are freshwater and poverty. Each student must write two poems and paragraphs describing the poem message and their motivation for writing the poem.
If you are interested in serving as a reviewer, please e-mail me directly. I will need your name, credentials, title, and institutional affiliation. Reviewers will be acknowledged in the publication and will receive a copy of the book.=20
The review will begin around September 28, 2007. Reviewers will be sent an MS Word file with the entire book. Guidelines for review will be e-mailed along with the book. Comments should be tracked in MS Word and returned to me no later than October 12, 2007. I believe this review period is sufficient because the publication should be easy reading and enjoyable, something you read at Starbucks on a Saturday morning.
Thanks for your continued suppport. Any proceeds from the sale of the book will go into a fund for students.
