Position Details
*The Health Sciences and Kinesiology Department at Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA, seeks applicants interested in a Full Time Assistant Professor position in a rapidly growing Community Health Program, starting January 7, 2008. LUs undergraduate health promotion major has two tracks: CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) and Clinical (preparation for medical and allied health graduate programs).
Responsibilities include teaching personal and community health, behavior change, and drug education as well as other related content and methods courses.

Qualifications
*Our preference is for candidates with an earned doctorate or ABD in Health Education or Health Promotion; however, applicants with community health experience and the willingness to pursue a doctorate will be considered. CHES certified preferred, but candidates must be CHES eligible and planning to become certified within one year of hire.
Willingness to advise LUs chapter of Eta Sigma Gamma is also desired.
Applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to the University's evangelical Christian purpose.
