Thanks for trying to help us at Kingsborough Community College.
Our HEd requirement has been in place since the inception of the college, approx. 47 years. I've been here for the last 42.
Do you have access to any surveys re: required HEd in community colleges, and/or senior colleges???
If so, please forward them to me ASAP.
Our Gen Ed committee is recommending to the college curriculum committee to do away with the requirement soon!!! Our chairperson, Dr. Sam Scherek is proposing an alternative in which we'd reduce the class from 3cr., 3 hrs. to 1cr., 2 hrs.
The pressure is on because the state is reducing two year degrees from 64 to 60 credits. The Administration and other selected HEd supposedly, because they want to require a 3 cr. math course.
Also, they say that our course doesn't transfer to 4 yr colleges.
(We're checking on the latter.)
There are other things that could be done with the curriculums, but I guess they figure they'd just target us... All vs. one. A great example of academic cannibalism.

Hey Everyone,
I spoke with a person at the hotel where we'll be staying in FtWorth next week. She said that the cost round trip to the airport runs around $60/per person.. gulp.. I just rented a car using price line's name your deal feature and got it for $15/day.
Of course, your results may vary. Part performance is no indication of future earnings. Void where prohibited.
