Subject: Hot, Flat and Crowded by Thomas Friedman

I just read Friedman's new book, Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why we need a green revolution - and how it can renew America. I thought it was very good and recommend all read this book. What was interesting was although he documented how carbon concentrations have increased dramatically since the industrial revolution and explained how doubling of carbon was a problem point as it relates to global warming, it was not the only reason to go green. Whether you agree with that science or not, he provided great reasons to go green besides global warming. Reasons that included growth for America, international competitiveness, and improved quality of life for all. Any I recommend for all to read this book, I think it is important reading and most should find a positive reason to go green and want to build green ideas into their programming and at their organizations.

Happy Holidays - lets make 2009 a Great Year!
