The Health Education Program and Department of Health Sciences at Illinois State University is proud to announce that Dr. David A. Birch, Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Education and Recreation at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale has been selected as the 2008 Ann E. Nolte Scholar in Health Education. Dr. Birch will be on the campus of Illinois State from February 24 - 26 and be a part of a number of activities involving students, faculty, and administration. His public presentation, Making A Difference, Current and Future Considerations for Health Education Professional Preparation, will be held Monday, February 25th at 7:00 in the Bone Student Center.

Due to the generosity of Distinguished Professor Emerita, Dr. Ann E. Nolte, a noted Scholar has been invited to Illinois State the past 8 years. Other Scholars have included Dr. Audrey Gotsch (2007), Dr. John Allegrante (2006), Dr. Kelli McCormack Brown (2005), Dr. Kathleen Miner (2004), Dr. Susan Telljohann (2003), Dr. Stephen Thomas (2002), and Dr. John Seffrin (2001).
