Founded in 1946, Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington's Department of Applied Health Science is committed to preventing disease and promoting the health and well being of individuals, families, and communities through research, teaching, and service related to healthy lifestyles. With more than 800 students in an array of undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees and nearly 60 faculty members we continue to grow, evolve, and flourish. Several of our programs are accredited and our Master of Public Health and Doctoral programs are highly ranked. Our department has various centers, institutes, and laboratories available for research, teaching, and services. These innovative and multidisciplinary facilities work with academic, nonprofit, or government organizations to develop new approaches to public health and find unique solutions to pressing health, wellness, and quality of life challenges.
